Do Your Research
Buying or selling real estate can be a daunting matter. Especially, if you are a first time home buyer. My best advice, whether buying or selling, is do your research. Ask questions? The internet is an endless source of information. Get yourself familiar with the process prior to finding the perfect property. My office door is always open for a few questions you may need answered. Feel free to fire off an email if that works better for you. I am sure to respond promptly. Good luck to all of you who are about to make the real estate jump. Realtors Work (For You) - Buying
Typically, working with a Realtor to purchase a home will not cost the buyer anything. The Realtor's service will be paid by the seller once the deal has completed. As the buyer, you are receiving a full service real estate professional absolutely free. Your Realtor, however, still works for you even though someone else pays him. Be sure to use their service. Take advantage of their resources and their knowledge. Ask questions. Get directions. Accept their advice. But make your own decision.Realtors Work (For You) - Selling
When it's time to sell call a Realtor. Listing with a professional will save you loads of time and lots of money. Perhaps thousands! Part of their listing service is having access to a fountain of resources. They are in touch with more ready, willing and able buyers than anyone. Being able to market your property to a broader audience faster allows a Realtor to generally sell property quicker than the average FOR SALE BY OWNER. And when they find the buyer to make an offer they are most often able to negotiate a better price for you. Trained and skilled negotiator means money in your pocket. All of this does come at a price though. The Realtor will charge a commission which will be payable by the seller upon completion of the sale. But until there is a confirmed sale there is no financial obligation to listing your house with a Realtor. It's a free sign on your lawn, free advertising in the newspaper (if agreed to by the listing realtor), its free internet ads. The realtor does not get paid until you get paid.
